Adena plans to open nation's most modern health care facility

Wednesday, June 27, 2007

With hopes of launching southern Ohio's standing as a mecca for the most technologically-savvy region in the country for medical education and services, the Adena Health Foundation is well on its way to building the most modern health care centers in the nation.

"Today, the most modern medical educational facility is at Riverside Hospital in Columbus," said Larry Gates, a member of the Adena Healthcare Board of Trustees. "In two years, the most modern facility in the United States will be at Ross County at Adena."

Legislature may use ratepayer surcharge to bail out Ore. museum

Opponents of the measure say using that money to pay off OMSI's debt to the Department of Energy amounts to a legislative raid on ratepayer money.
