It's not clear whether the Phoenix Suns will make a trade to move up in Thursday's NBA draft.
But it is clear they're entertaining the idea after they hosted a workout with forwards Joakim Noah and Corey Brewer of Florida and forward Jeff Green of Georgetown on Tuesday. All three are projected lottery picks.
"I think the big thing is, if you've got a chance to possibly move up, you want to see these guys up close," Suns General Manager Steve Kerr said after the session at U.S. Airways Center. "We have a chance. Whether it's a great chance or not, I don't really know at this point because everybody's just talking, and you don't know what to believe and what not to believe.

No time to rest; there's more soccer to play and another continent to conquer.
After the United States men's national team swept through its title defense in the just-concluded CONCACAF Gold Cup, Team USA is in Venezuela for Copa America against the best teams of South America.
In its Copa America opener, the U.S. plays fifth-ranked Argentina at 5:45 p.m. PDT Thursday. GolTV and Telefutura will broadcast the match live. On the Web, the match can be seen at www.ussoccer.com. In group play, Team USA also plays Paraguay on Monday and Colombia on July 5.

Raymond Harrison has been named acting director of academic services and life skills for the University of South Carolina athletics department, associate athletics director Val Sheley announced today. Harrison replaces Harold White, who has retired after 36 years with Gamecock athletics.
Harrison joined the Carolina staff as the director of academic support in the fall of 2006. Under Harrison's tutelage, the Gamecock football team earned its highest GPA ever in the spring semester of 2007. In his first year at Carolina, Harrison has overseen the football study hall renovation project in the library and is on the planning committee for the new Academic Enrichment Center set to open in the fall of 2009.
Before he joined the Gamecocks, Harrison served as the associate director of academic services at the University of Louisville where he worked for six years. ? During his tenure there, he worked with various sports including men's basketball. The basketball team earned its highest GPA each of the final four years under Harrison, and the 2005 Final Four team won the C-USA Sport Academic Award, presented to the team in each conference sport with the highest GPA for the academic year. Harrison also served as basketball's Assistant Strength Coach his last two years at Louisville.
