Neighbors seek city intervention in art dispute

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

BALLWIN — It's a subdivision of quiet, quaint homes and tree-lined streets, just as its name — Whispering Oakwood — suggests, but all that changes when residents drive around a corner on Morena Court.

"It's got floodlights in all directions," said Charles Obermyer, one of the subdivision's trustees. "You could play baseball in the neighbor's yard."

King of roads known for giving little ground

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Spoiled celebrities get too much attention

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

To the Editor:When you see the names of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Pacman Jones, what do you think of?

To me, they seem like spoiled children who have always got their way and are constantly seeking attention one way or another.I, for one, am sick and tired of hearing of their foolish escapades and seeing so much coverage in the press.Their antics are much better fodder for The National Enquirer and similar publications. They need to go home and grow up. Maybe if they were ignored more often, they would disappear, at least from the headlines.Barbara Snyder Tullahoma 37388
