The history of Florida players taken in the NBA draft is filled with recent first-round draft picks and some legends of eras past.
But for Gator basketball, the NBA draft has never been as fruitful as the one expected Thursday night.
Florida has never had more than two players taken in the same draft. On Thursday, three could potentially get picked among the first 10 selections.

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday night, with a couple of players who will have an immense impact on the league for at least the next 12 years or so - Greg Oden and Kevin Durant - set to be selected No. 1 and 2 by Portland and Seattle, respectively.
But, naturally, what was the biggest radio talk show topic in Southern California Monday afternoon?
The speculation over a reported possible four-team trade that, among about a dozen other things, would result in Kevin Garnett leaving the Minnesota Timberwolves and ending up in - you guessed it - a Lakers' uniform.

It shouldn't shock you if the Cleveland Cavaliers' starting backcourt next season is Larry Hughes and Daniel Gibson.
The Cavs believe that Gibson demonstrated the ability to play in pressure playoff games, and that he can work nicely with LeBron James. The two have a real chemistry, much as Michael Jordan developed with shooters such as John Paxson, B.J. Armstrong and Steve Kerr during his prime years with the Chicago Bulls.
Daniel Gibson played more as the Cavs' postseason progressed.

A jockey who kicked his horse in the stomach before a race was suspended 30 days and fined $1,000 by Philadelphia Park officials Monday. The decision against veteran jockey Victor Molina came three days after his 40-minute disciplinary hearing for kicking 2-year-old colt Yes Yes Ohyes. Molina, a 27-year veteran who's been racing at Philadelphia Park since 1988, hoped for only a fine and was surprised by the severity of the penalties issued by the track's stewards. "The kick wasn't what I'm about," Molina said. "The penalty doesn't warrant what I did." ...
Ralph J. Morano, a longtime trainer and driver who made a second career fighting for harness horsemen's rights as the track representative at The Meadowlands, has died. He was 74.

Jim Leyland and the Tigers are among the nominees for the 15th annual ESPY awards.
Fans get to vote for the winners through July 7 at www.espys.tv, and the awards show airs at 9 p.m. July 15 on ESPN.
