SEATTLE (AP) -- Jeff Weaver won his second straight outing after a dismal start to the season, pitching the Seattle Mariners to a 9-4 win over the Boston Red Sox on Monday night. Jose Lopez capped a five-run fifth inning with a two-run single and Kenji Johjima and Adrian Beltre hit back-to-back home runs for Seattle. CLEVELAND (AP) - CC Sabathia joined Boston's Josh Beckett as the majors' only 11-game winners by pitching the Cleveland Indians to a 5 to 2 win over Oakland.
Sabathia is 11-2. He allowed nine hits in his second complete game this month. He's 2-5 lifetime in 12 career starts against the A's.
Ryan Garko drove in two runs with a fourth-inning double off Chad Gaudin, who fell to 6-3. Travis Hafner homered for Cleveland.

SEATTLE (AP) - Jeff Weaver won his second straight start by pitching the Seattle Mariners past Boston 9 to 4. Weaver lost his first six decisions but is now 2-6.
Jose Lopez capped a five-run fifth inning with a two-run single. Kenji Johjima (JOH'-jih-muh) and Adrian Beltre hit back-to-back home runs for Seattle.
Seattle has won 5 of 7. The only downer for the Mariners was Ichiro Suzuki (EE'-chih-roh soo-ZOO'-kee) had his 19-game hitting streak end.

Seattle, WA -- (Sports Network) - Kenji Johjima and Adrian Beltre hit back-to- back homers in the seventh inning and the Seattle Mariners topped the Boston Red Sox, 9-4, in the opener of a three-game set.
Jeff Weaver (2-6) turned in his second straight solid outing after a horrible start to the season, allowing six hits and two runs -- one earned -- with three strikeouts and two walks. Willie Bloomquist went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Mariners, who have won three straight and five of six.
"Right now, I'm feeling good. I want to take these last starts, keep them in the back of my head and know that I am capable of going out there and winning games," Weaver said.
