To the Editor:When you see the names of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Pacman Jones, what do you think of?
To me, they seem like spoiled children who have always got their way and are constantly seeking attention one way or another.I, for one, am sick and tired of hearing of their foolish escapades and seeing so much coverage in the press.Their antics are much better fodder for The National Enquirer and similar publications. They need to go home and grow up. Maybe if they were ignored more often, they would disappear, at least from the headlines.Barbara Snyder Tullahoma 37388

I own The Emerald Turtle, a colorful and fun gift shop only a couple of blocks from Central Bark Bakery.

These startling findings contribute to the ongoing debate over stem cell research and who has legal authority of frozen embryos. "This is a significant controversy, the biggest we've ever had in science policy, over whether it is ethical to destroy human embryos in order to produce a stem cell line," Ruth Faden, Ph.D., director of the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and co-author of the study, told Ivanhoe. "What we now know from this study is that many of these patients, once they a...
Researchers from Johns Hopkins University and Duke University surveyed more than 1,000 infertility couples. Sixty percent of the respondents said they were more likely to donate their remaining embryos to scientists for stem cell research than to other couples for adoption.
